Kwetu, in partnership with Technoserve and supported by the Mastercard Foundation, is pleased to introduce the BlueBiz Program, which is a transformative initiative aimed at empowering youth especially women in the Kenya’s coastal communities through opportunities in the Blue Economy. This program is designed to empower 15,000 young women and men in Kenya’s coastal communities by equipping them with the necessary skills, resources, and opportunities to establish and expand sustainable microenterprises within the Blue Economy by promoting sustainable and resilient economic activities like fisheries, mariculture, coastal tourism and environmental conservation to create pathways to dignified and fulfilling work.

Core Program Components:

  • Entrepreneurship Development: Comprehensive training to cultivate essential business skills and knowledge.
  • Financial Access: Provision of tailored financial solutions, including loans and grants, to support business growth.
  • Market Facilitation: Establishment of robust market linkages and networks to enhance business visibility and opportunities.
