Welcome to Kwetu Training Center For Sustainable Development

Brief History

Kwetu Training Centre for sustainable development (KWETU) was founded in 1996 as a vocational training centre and was registered as a non-governmental organization (NGO) in 1997. The aim of establishing the centre was to equip the unemployed youth, women and fisher folk with knowledge and skills for setting up and managing natural resources based businesses aiming at self employment creation and poverty alleviation. An important assumption has always been that nature provides enough for human beings as long as we know how to harvest the resources without depleting them. read more
